Sometimes, you can’t find everything you’re looking for on the internet. Sure, you can find advice columns and join threads about retiring abroad and investing in teak, but the best way to get all of the in-depth information you’re seeking is usually to hear it straight from the experts themselves – those who’ve already done what you’re hoping to do and can help you determine how to go about it based on their own firsthand experience. If this idea appeals to you, you’re in luck, because there are actually conferences for expats held each year in different locations, made so that you can access the information you need. These are some of the upcoming conferences that you could attend:
Escape Artist Conference 2018: Dallas, TX
Escape Artist is hosting a conference of its own, on December 1st and 2nd of this year. The price to attend is $399 (if registering before October 31st, $499 if after), and it’s located in Dallas, Texas, at the MCM Elegante Hotel. Speakers will cover topics such as investment opportunities in Latin America, asset protection, working internationally, and more! This conference will not only provide an opportunity to hear from the experts firsthand, but it will include time to network with them and your fellow attendees at a cocktail party as well, allowing for the chance to leave with a lot more insider information than you started with. This is the can’t-miss event of the year if you’re even slightly considering living, working, or investing abroad.
International Living‘s Retire Overseas Bootcamp 2018: Santa Fe, New Mexico
This bootcamp session will be from November 8th to the 10th of this year and the price to attend is $945 for a primary attendee and $545 for their guest (if applicable). This conference will be held in New Mexico, in International Living’s Networking Hall. The theme of the bootcamp is all about building your own “individual retire overseas blueprint.” There will be speakers and workshops, as well as booths set up in the networking hall to represent different countries and their costs of living and lifestyles.
Hong Kong Summit 2019
On January 17th, Hong Kong will host its annual summit on “Embracing Innovation.” Hong Kong is a key international hub, and it’s a leader of innovation and technology. It will be a full-day program to help cultivate new ideas and build “future-ready” programs for your own company.
