ATLANTIC PARADISES

JUNE 27-JULY 5, 2023

$500 savings per person enter discount code SUMMERSPECIAL23

Atlantic Paradises is unique in what we experience, how we experience it, and in value. We call them Atlantic Paradises… three island territories of Portugal, in Madeira, and the Azores. Each of these Atlantic Paradises is an Eden in its own distinct way. Each is a blissful wonderland of joyful surprise. Madeira and the Azores are autonomous regions of Portugal.

Madeira is an archipelago that has a varied and spectacular landscape, an excellent climate and great historical wealth, making it one of the most spectacular regions of Portugal.

The Azores are nine islands right in the middle of the migratory route of many of the world’s whale species from the Arctic and Northern Atlantic to Southern Atlantic waters at this time of year—fin whales, humpback whales, sei whales, minke whales and others. The iconic sperm whales are resident here all year long.

Choose to rappel down a waterfall… fly a motorized parasail over the island… go big game fishing… or scuba dive… walk along a flower-strewn coastline… soak up some rays at a postcard-perfect beach… and there’s more you could do…

Our Atlantic Paradises exploration combines natural beauty with options for diverse types of adventure and fun. We’ll show you an incredible part of the world few ever have the privilege to see. Join us to experience it!

~INDIAN TIBET~

HIGH ADVENTURE

JULY 30 – AUGUST 12, 2023

Go for it.

True High Adventure in both senses of the word. The entire experience will be over two miles high (11,000ft/3,400m), and it’s in a hidden region of remotest Asia where the world’s most exotic culture still exists—that of Tibet. We have driven many thousands of kilometers crisscrossing Chinese Occupied Tibet; however, true Tibetan culture cannot be found inside Tibet. When the British ruled India, they prevented China from capturing a part of Tibet. Monasteries over a thousand years old still flourish in this area today.

There’s nothing like it on earth and in the remotest part of it is The Grand Canyon of the Himalayas.

Running its Class IV and V rapids are one of the greatest whitewater experiences on our planet.

During this voyage, you’ll understand why many consider Running the Zanskar the premier whitewater experience in the world. A true thrill of a lifetime.

The expedition is self-contained on the river, which means you carry all your gear with you on the boats. You live in expedition tents on the pristine beaches lining the Zanskar, and we eat our substantial meals by the roaring riverside.

To participate, you need no special skills, just normal good health and condition, and capable of being at between 10,000 and 12,000 feet (3,000 3,700 meters) altitude while in Ladakh.

~HEART OF CENTRAL ASIA~

KAZAKHSTAN, KYRGYZSTAN, UZBEKISTAN, TAJIKISTAN & TURKMENISTAN

SEPTEMBER 2-21, 2023

Central Asia. The very words evoke the ultimate in the remote, the exotic, and the unknown full of wonders.

Here you will find the ancient cities of the Silk Road still in all their splendor, the Mountains of Heaven, and the Seven Pearls of Shing. Here you will meet the descendants of the people who fought Alexander the Great 2,300 years ago still living in their remote mountain villages, ride horseback with nomads, and luxuriate in 5-star hotels.

Walk up and down canyons, see the snow-capped range of the mighty Tien Shan Mountains of Heaven and see a traditional eagle hunting demonstration. Spend time in a nomad yurt camp and see people who still maintain a traditional nomadic way of life, which is rare.

Experience great ancient architectural wonders, citadels, and fortresses. We visit the “Well of Job” where Job in the Old Testament struck the ground with his staff and out gushed a spring in the desert. Job is identified as from “the Land of Uz” which is “east of the Euphrates”, Uzbekistan. The water from the spring is clear and drinkable to this day.

In the center of the Kara Kum Black Sand Desert we camp and spend the night. Between twilight and dawn what we are camped next to becomes a truly and uniquely memorable spectacle—the Darvaza Gas Crater, the “Door to Hell.” This is an evening and a sight you’ll never ever forget. Not to mention a chance for an extraordinary photo.

This is a fabulously life memorable experience of one of our world’s most historically mysterious, culturally magnificent, and scenically glorious regions anywhere.

~HIMALAYA HELICOPTER EXPEDITION~

KATHMANDU, NEPAL TO KATHMANDU, NEPAL

OCTOBER 21-28, 2023

This is one of the greatest adventures available on earth today…in only one week.

And you get to skip the trekking and soar to the heights!

Fly right up to Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri—these mountains are “ultimates” of Himalayan trekking.

Until we invented Himalaya Helicopter, it was a major undertaking of physical effort, time, and money to trek to the base camp of any of these eight mountains.

And, of course, with each mountain, our goal is to get as close and land when we can.

It is an experience and a memory of your lifetime.

Now for an irony. On the trek to Everest all the way to the Base Camp, you never see Everest as other mountains block the view. But our helicopters, upon leaving Everest Base Camp, rise to give us a view of Everest no one ever sees unless you’re in a helicopter.

What’s even more astounding is that no one has seen what you’re seeing before from this perspective from a helicopter 23,000 feet high. (Most helicopters don’t fly remotely close to that height except that our new specialized high altitude Euro copters can.)

There is more to see more than the spectacular mountains.

Next to the border of Tibet lies the Hidden Kingdom of Lo. The people of Lo are Tibetans who retain the last vestiges of traditional Tibetan life on earth, unchanged for centuries. Founded in 1380 by the first King of Lo, Amne Pal, Lo Manthang is a UN World Heritage Site as the best preserved medieval walled city in the world. Many of its still standing structures date from the late 1300s to early 1400s, including the King’s Palace and Jhampa and Thupchen Gompas.

Closed to all foreigners until recently, it takes trekkers two weeks to get there and back, walking on yak trails at 12,000 feet or higher. We have been given an exclusive permit to fly our helicopters to the capital of Lo, the Walled City of Lo Manthang.

Explore ancient cities and temples and discover colourful shops throughout our journey.

In Nepal’s second largest city and capital of the Gurkhas, Pokhara, enjoy the adventure sports capital of Nepal. You can take a jeep tour, go paragliding, hike, horseback riding, mountain biking, and more.

This a completely unique ultimate world class adventure.

Expedition members must be of unfailing good cheer, a boundless gratitude for being alive, a determination to fill their life with extraordinary experiences, and in normal good health.
